what can a family of 4..kids ages 3 and 13 do for a vacation that is inexpensive and within driving upstate ny
we are looking for something inexpensive and something different than what we have already done…niagara falls, toronto, 1000 islands, six flags, have already been done. we would like to be able to drive there. (less than 5 hours drive time)
stay home doing laundry matching socks, and playing chinese checkers. thats a lot of fun!

Mt. Washington, NH cog railway. Stop at Ben & Jerry’s in VT on the way. Cut over to the Maine Coast, then down to Portsmouth, NH to the beach. Might as well catch a Red Sox Game in Boston and meander back across southern NH stopping in little towns at the Flea markets. Go through Bennington, VT and Glens Falls, NY.
