How does this sound? S.K, better?

Sean was ready to turn around as the man dissapeared into shadows. Then a candle light barely illuminated the old man sea,ted on a worn couch. He pointed at three boats, all canoe-width, five feet long. Weathered bows and seaweed-filled seats testified to thousands of trips.
“Well come on now, the water awaits,” the old man said as he tugged them along. They flipped over the boat and emptied out the seaweed. While dragging the boat across the grass to the ocean, Sean quickly checked for holes… There were none, but Sean and his friends knew nothing about sailing. Back in Pyro Village they would canoe across the lake sometimes, but never had they seen ocean.
“I wish you the best of luck with your adventure,” the man said as they reached the shoreline. Sean didn’t want to reveal any plans, so he kept silent until the old man left.
“Okay, We all know the plan, right?”
Max nodded. “We basically ride a canoe over the ocean to the fort, which will take about two days.”
“Yes, even though we only have one copper piece, we still have a fish line in my backpack. And when we arrive at the fort, we can use our swords to hunt.”
“Hopefully, the fort will be based on a tropical island or something,” Miranda assured.
Sean shook his head. “I doubt it, the fort is fifty miles North-East of here. It’s probably lays on frozen tundra.”

How does this chapter sound?

This is a piece of a chapter. How can I make it better? 10 points?
Sean was ready to turn around as it became to dark to see in front of him. Then a candle light barely illuminated the old man seated next to it. He pointed at three boats, all canoe-width, five feet long. Weathered bows and seaweed-filled seats testified to thousands of trips.
“Well come on now, the water awaits,” the old man said as he tugged them along. They flipped over the boat and emptied out the seaweed. While dragging the boat across the grass to the ocean, Sean quickly checked the boat for holes… There were none, but Sean and his friends knew nothing about sailing. Back in Pyro Village they would canoe arcoss the lake sometimes, but never had they seen the ocean.
“I wish you the best of luck with your adventure,” he said as they reached the shoreline. Sean didn’t want to reveal any of his plans to the people of the dock, so he kept silent until the old man made his way back to the front of the cottage.
They sighed as all the memories of the Northern Mountain’s came back to them. The awful incline, and the freezing temperatures. Not to mention that it was already freezing. In the distance was nothing but miles and miles of open water. It was a sight they haven’t seen before in their life.

Creating And Designing A Mini Golf Course Can Be A Sound Investment!

With all this recession hype about people losing their jobs, families being forced to mortgage their homes and lifestyles on a decline, it’s no wonder everyone’s on their toes. Don’t plunge yourself in the job market and wonder if you’ll float around long enough to provide for your family. Instead be your own boss and run your own successful business by building a mini golf course. A mini golf course has a world of potential to be the all round popular entertainment center in your area. Mini golf is entertaining and enjoyable for all ages and it’s something the whole family can participate. Mini golf is the All-American family past time that has people coming back to play again and again. It’s the kind of sport families and friends get together for and spend the whole day playing. Did I mention it’s the least expensive activity so most won’t hesitate to come and join in the fun. Your first step would be to find a good Mini Golf Course Designer to build you the putt putt golf course of your dreams.

During the summer most people want to be outside basking in the sun. Putt putt golf can be the perfect amusement for kids to keep busy with instead of sitting at home in front of the TV. But just having a mini golf course won’t be enough. You have to make sure to have a fascinating and creative mini golf course design that makes people want keep visiting. Typically, building and creating a mini golf course would cost between 1 and 5 thousand dollars depending on the size and detail. You can amaze those who come to play with attractive lagoons, natural waterfalls, and islands sporadically placed throughout the golf course. Most mini golf course designers choose to set a theme to add colorful appealing scenery throughout. You can incorporate a Treasure Island pirate theme, an animal zoo theme, a jungle theme, or anything else that would look exciting. What’s the point of playing without a challenge? If you make each hole too easy, people get bored quickly. The design of the course is created while experimenting with angles and strategically placed obstacles to make each hole challenging and interesting. If players don’t manage to play a round well enough, they have the yearning to come back soon and try to improve their score next time around!

18 holes is the usual size of a mini golf course and this surprisingly doesn’t require a lot of land. A mini golf course designer can comfortably fit an 18 hole putt putt course within an acre of land. If you’re a land investor why not make something out of it instead of leaving the property vacant? Maintenance is also equally important. If you have moving obstacles as part of your golf course it is imperative to make sure they are running smoothly. Nothing is more depressing than for people to walk into a mini golf and finding a drab dried up golf course. If you have flower beds or gardens surrounding the course make sure you take care of them so they are healthy and keep adding to the floral appeal.

Mini golf courses have become the popular place for people to celebrate and enjoy birthday parties, corporate picnics, and even weddings! Want to know a bigger secret? You can add more excitement to your mini golf course by holding midnight putting hours.  With glow in the dark golf balls and marking each hole with neon glow-in-the-dark paint you’ve got quite a new spin on the golfing craze!  So what are you waiting for? Consult a Mini Golf Course Designer to have some fun and make some money along the way.
