I need a vacation, but i am broke. Should I just camp out in a State or National park?
I can’t go to a distant park, but maybe a park within 100 miles.
If i camp out alone, will people rob me? Will i get eaten by bears and wolves?
Will i get bored? Do i have to poop in the bushes?
There are no electrical outlets and I only have a small car.
This doesn’t sound very fun.

Wildflowers in Great Basin National Park
On a recent camping vacation at Great Basin National Park I had the opportunity to see many wildflowers. Here are a few. The music is Reverie by Claude Debussy. Enjoy!

Grizzly at campground at Yellowstone Park
This grizzly bear came into the campground we were at. the park rangers had to race to the scene and shoot at it with shotguns and air guns up in the air. they chased it out of the campground. this was taken a couple weeks ago before the fatal grizzly attack of a camper just north of this area in Yellowstone. very possible this is the same bear that killed someone recently. I think if you plan on camping in Yellowstone in a tent you should sleep with a Rambo Knife in your hand – that’s what I do. PS dont make jokester growling noises when you sneak up on me in the night.
