Is Mt Rushmore a good vacation spot for a young family?

We have a 6, 4 and 2 year old and instead of taking the usual family camping trip to the lake, we want to go somewhere else. We are thinking of driving to Mt. Rushmore. Just wondering if this is a good idea for a family with those age kids? Will they like it? Are there other things for them to do? If so, please suggest some fun activities for the whole family in that area.

I need a good summer vacation idea for CA?

Hi! My boyfriend live on the coast of CA (near the beach) and we need a good Vacation Idea that is not too $$$. We go to San Francisco a few times a year, and we also go to So Cal all the time and go to disneyland- so we are kinda burned out on those things.
We need a good trip idea for a week off this summer. I am not a camping gal and we are not shoppers (there go the shopping town like santa barbara).

We have already been to the monetery aquarium, and we are fresh out of cool ideas. We want to stay in state, not spend too much money, and have a fun realxed time…….. any ideas?? we are stumped!

What are some good places in Ohio to vacation?

I’m looking for somewhere inexpensive in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky to go to for a vacation. Maybe a park or something, because I would like to be able to hike and camp. Please help?!

Where is a good vacation spot for familys with school aged kids that is inexpensive?

I live in NW Arkansas. I am willing to travel up to 500 miles away. I would consider camping as an alternative to staying in a hotel. I have 2 kids ages 8 and 11. All of the family enjoys being outdoors and sports.

do you have any good and easy camping recipes??

My Family and i are leaving Friday for a 10 day camping vacation in Branson , We’ve got the three park seasons passes, and we are going to be there for awhile, so we need quick and easy meals.
We camp all the time but we have never gone for this long,with 4 kids, and i have run out of ideas for easy recipes, i really only have three meals i know are great AND easy, We have a 4 burner camping stove, a microwave and of course the campfire.
If you all would give me some ideas for some supper meals i would greatly appreciate it.. thank you so much in advance..have a great day:@)
