Private Villas In The Exotic Dream Destination Phuket

The kingdom of Thailand lies in the heart of Southeast Asia, making it a natural gateway to Indochina, Myanmar and Southern China. Its shape and geography divide into four natural regions : the mountains and forests of the North; the vast rice fields of the Central Plains; the semi-arid farm lands of the Northeast plateau; and the tropical islands and long coastline of the peninsula South.

Located 862 kilometers south of Bangkok is Phuket, Thailand’s largest island, which is often dubbed as the pearl of the Andaman, or the pearl of the south. Its natural resources- rocky peninsular, limestone cliffs, white powdery beaches, tranquil broad bays and tropical in-land forests contribute to making it the South’s wealthiest, busiest, most visited and most popular island and province.

Staying on the island is easy, as there are only two seasons in a year – the rainy season (May to October) and the hot season (November to April). The low season of phuket is between September and October as they are the wettest months. The best period for a visit, is from November to February, when it is possible to see the clear blue sky, feel the fresh sea breeze and marvel at the crystal clear water while lying on powdery, palm-fringed beaches. Average temperatures ranges between 23 degree and 33 degree.

Renting a Phuket Villa can be a daunting task, with literally thousands to choose from on the island, and more appearing every day it can be a difficult choice for many. Phuket villas come in all styles, sizes and in different locations around the island, from hill top locations offering panoramic views of the islands and the Andaman Sea, to beach front beach villas providing instant access to powdery white sand and azure calm seas.

When choosing a luxury villa guests must decide whether they want solitude or a more hectic atmosphere with hustle and bustle of street markets and beach activities. Luxury villas on the east coast offer the kind of peace and quiet that is more akin to Samui or Krabi. There is a sense of remoteness here, with traditional Thai fishing villages, and quiet serene beaches dotted along the coast.

The West coast is the far more recognized and notorious part of the island with luxury villas concentrated in Patong, Kamala, and Surin areas. Karon and Kata beaches also have some excellent choices for beach front accommodation. Villa estates such as The Samsara Estate, Phuket Pavilions, Baan Thai Surin Hill and The Plantation are gaining international recognition for their excellence both in terms of quality of surroundings and quality of service and value offered.

More secluded resorts nestle higher up amongst the trees in the center of this island, capitalizing on the wonderful sea and mountain views. With some of the most famous golfing in the world, Phuket villas in these locations are popular options for golfing fanatics. With such a developed infrastructure nothing is more than a 20 minute drive from these hill top locations.

With space becoming a commodity in much of Phuket, the South – once a neglected part of Phuket – is becoming more and more popular and with much more affordable prices than their more famous West coast counterparts. The 40 minute drive from the airport is enough to put most off traveling so far down the island, but those that do find beautiful beaches and headlands, great restaurants and their luxury villas amenities match anything on the island.

As people seek a new getaway for their vacation, resorts including Andaman Cove have become extremely popular offering not only luxury accommodation but amenities such as tennis courts, kid’s clubs and trips to private islands offering their guests that something extra that few other places provide at such great value.

Outer Banks, NC – A Dream Vacation

Winter, spring, summer or fall- over 100 miles of shoreline that makes up the Outer Banks offers national parks, festivals and attractions, and a landscape created by Mother Nature that’s sure to impress even the most discerning traveler. The vacation rentals of the Outer Banks are everywhere you turn, so you can enjoy the vacation of your dreams. Beachfront vacation rentals with breathtaking views of the ocean, hotels in the middle of the action, small cottages and house vacation rentals are scattered throughout Outer Banks, North Carolina. Although the Outer Banks is actually made up of several geographical areas, including the mainland, Nags Head, Roanoke Island, and Portsmouth Island, many people simply refer to all of the Outer Banks as “Nags Head”.

Nags Head is an interesting vacation destination. On either side of the land is ocean, with high sand dunes flanking the land that can be seen from miles out in the ocean. It is not certain where Nags Head got its name from, but one possible explanation was that during the 18th century, land pirates would walk horses along the shore at night, each with lights on their heads. From the sea, they would look like boats to other seamen. When the boats would come towards the shore, getting stuck in the high sand dunes, the land pirates would steal their cargoes. Sometime in 1830, Nags Head became a resort community, as it is now- with Jockey’s Ridge on the northern part of Nags Head the only remaining remnant of moving sand dunes. Jockey’s Ridge is a tourist community with thousands of vacation rentals for the Outer Banks vacationers looking for a relaxing destination.

Roanoke Island, as well as most other regions, offer non-stop activity for the adventure-seeking traveler. If camping in tents is your idea of vacation rentals to die for, you can stay at one of the many campgrounds in the area. Whatever your choice for vacation rentals during your Outer Banks vacation, you’ll be able to participate in water activities, enjoy eating in high quality restaurants, or learning about the heritage and history of the Outer Banks at one of the many museums and historical centers.

Popular activities for the vacationer include paddling, either in canoes or kayaks, in order to glimpse some of the many sea creatures and wildlife that inhabit the area. You can go hang gliding in Kitty Hawk. Hiking in various areas of the Outer Banks, and within walking distance from some of the vacation rentals. The Outer Banks caters to any vacationer’s idea of “good eats”! They’ve got the typical beachfront resort community offerings of seafood restaurants, pubs and grills, but they’ve also got a wide variety of bistro’s, cafe’s, and ethnic eateries. If you prefer to cook your own meals, just be sure to select from vacation rentals with kitchens, and have access to the local supermarkets to get your favorite ingredients.

Regardless of the season, whether you stay in Nags Head or another area, you’ll find there are many festivals and events happening all over the community. Museums offer a wide variety of exhibits, there is a strong art community within the Outer Banks with art shows open to the public, while the theatre remains a large attraction for both natives and tourists.

Selecting vacation rentals for your stay in the Outer Banks should not be a difficult task, as you can stay in the Northern Outer Banks or the Southern Outer Banks and be guaranteed an enjoyable vacation.

Live the dream on the island paradise of Bali

As the fourth most populous country in the world, Indonesia is a behemoth of a country and one that is often overlooked as a holiday destination hotspot â?? except, of course, for those in the know.

With 206 million people spread across almost 18,000 islands, there is a great degree of diversity throughout the country and this is perhaps best exemplified with the tiny island of Bali, which is one of Indonesiaâ??s 33 provinces.

Although Indonesia has the worldâ??s largest population of Muslims, Bali goes against the grain by being a largely Hindu region, though they coexist peacefully with the 7% of the islandâ??s population that follow Islam.

Bali is the largest tourist destination in the whole of Indonesia and on arrival at Denpasar Airport itâ??s easy to see why. While many of the islandâ??s visitors head straight for the hedonistic heartbeat in the town of Kuta, for those seeking a more tranquil time, Bali is unparalleled in the whole of Asia and perhaps further afield for relaxation opportunities.

So rule number one on any cultural visit to Bali should be to avoid Kuta â?? though itâ??s perhaps pencilling in a night there at the very end if you fancy a little party action. So where to start in this tiny island paradise?

Well, first thing to remember is that the island is very small and itâ??s easy to drive around. Itâ??s also very cheap for those earning in pounds or Euros, meaning you can hire a taxi for a whole day to take you around the main sights. First thingâ??s first though: on arrival at Denpasar, make a beeline straight for Sanur which is a 30 minute drive from the airport.

A couple of nights in this quiet little beach resort village will help you recover from your flight, ready to take on some of the islandâ??s splendid sights. Of course, whilst staying in Sanur, itâ??s probably worth getting up early one of the mornings to catch the spectacular sunrise.

Next, head up through the middle of the island to Ubud, which is the islandâ??s cultural heartbeat, with fine art, dance and music in abundance. It also has ancient temples, palaces and perhaps the regionâ??s biggest draw, the Ubud Monkey Forest, which is a sacred nature reserve that his home to â?? yes, you guessed it â?? more than 300 Macaque monkeys.

Then, head up to the Besakih Temple, which is the biggest and holiest of all the temples on the island. Known as â??The Mother Temple of Baliâ??, it is over a thousand years old and is set in a stunning mountainside location just a short drive from Ubud.

For more coastal tranquillity, head to the north coast of the island to the Lovina Beach area, which contains a cluster of small villages and is a most stunning place to unwind after sampling the sights of Bali.

Bali holidays will suit people of all inclinations. Beach lovers, mountain hikers, culture vultures and party animals are all catered for on this tiny Indonesian island paradiseâ?¦so love it and live the dream!

How to Design Your Dream Kitchen

You’ve got your eye on that luxury wooden kitchen and you’ve got savings set aside, but you don’t know where to start with planning your new kitchen. You hate your present kitchen and know that you need a different layout but what? It is important to plan a kitchen carefully – you don’t want to spend thousands of pounds on something that looks great but just isn’t functional.

Some kitchen companies will come round to your home, draw a floor plan and advise you on the best layout for both the room size and shape, and your needs. If you are going to have a handmade wooden kitchen, the company will be able to accommodate any needs and room size, and will even be able to make custom cabinets for odd shaped alcoves. It’s good though if you have thought things through before they come to the house. Think about how you use your kitchen and what function it needs to fulfil. Here are some considerations to help you with your planning:-

1.Style – When choosing a style of kitchen, think about your house. A modern kitchen with brightly coloured cabinets and lots of stainless steel may not suit a thatched cottage or period home. Think about your style too. There are so many styles of units, appliances, work tops, sinks and handles to choose from that you are bound to find the perfect match. Companies that offer custom handmade kitchens will easily be able to find something that matches your style and the style of your house.

2.Entertaining – How is your kitchen used? Just for you and your family or do you entertain frequently. Think about your lifestyle. If you hold frequent dinner parties, you will need lots of work top space, a good size oven and hob, a dishwasher, a decent sized fridge/freezer or a large fridge with a freezer in a utility room or garage. Some people even have a second dishwasher! If you have a large kitchen and parties always end up in the kitchen, you may want to incorporate a central island for a bar area or seating area which can be used as a breakfast bar when you’re not partying.

3.Storage – How much storage you need will depend on your individual habits. If you have a large dishwasher, you will have extra crockery, glasses and cutlery to use when the rest is in the dishwasher. If you love cooking and baking, you will probably have an extensive collection of bakeware, cookware, utensils and gadgets, all requiring storage space. There are many storage solutions – pull out larders, corner carousels, deep drawers for pans, crockery display units, ceiling mounted pan hanger/herb drier, racks on the inside of cupboard doors etc. Think about how storage solutions can be incorporated into your kitchen design.

4.Cooking habits – If you love cooking, you will want a kitchen which allows you to pursue this hobby. You will want a good sized sink, plenty of work top space for preparation, a large hob and oven and you may want a large American style fridge to house all your fresh ingredients and a freezer if you cook in large batches. You may also want to think about incorporating items like spice racks into your kitchen.

5.Shopping – Are you the kind of person who does a big shop once or twice a month or do you shop a few times a week? Thinking about your shopping habits will enable you to plan the right kind of kitchen. If you do big shops, you will require a freezer and a large fridge and lots of storage space for cans and jars. If you do small, frequent shops, then you may not require as much storage space.

Thinking about all of these considerations will help you to plan a kitchen that will not only look great, but will also be functional and practical for your lifestyle.

Dream Island

Greece is one of the world’s favorite holiday destinations. It offers thousands of beaches, great weather, beautiful towns and villages, a rich history and more.

Mykonos lies between Tinos and Naxos. An island with very little vegetation, it has an area of 85 sq. km., a shoreline of 80 km and a population of aproximatley of 5.000. The island can be reached by air from Athens (daily service from Athens airport and more than ten flights a day during peak periods), Rhodes, Santorini and Herakleion (Crete) or by ferry from Piraeus (94 nautical miles), Rafina, the Dodecanese, Crete, and Thessaloniki. The trip by ferry from Piraeus takes about 6 hours. A local boat service takes visitors from Mykonos to nearby Delos.

Mykonos its the most famous of the Greek islands and one of the world’s most popular holiday resorts has been welcoming visitors for over half a century.

Here, the steep mountains to be encountered in most of the Cyclades give way to low, rocky hills, which combine with superb beaches to make up the landscape of the island. The capital, Hora, with a little fishing-boats nestle happily side by side with luxury yachts, presents quite a different picture from the majority of Aegean island towns.

While it is usual for island villages to be built on naturally amphitheatrical sites, Mykonos is spread out over a flat area and conveys an impression of solid aesthetic cohesion. Here the people which adore thesea will find outstanding golden beaches such as Agios Stefanos, Psarou, Kalafatis.

Mykonos is a busy island with all the amenities of a mode and resort and with plenty to do by day or night for those who want to have a lively time. Yet visitors fond of more peaceful holidays will still find quiet corners in which to relax.
