Coastal Communities In South Carolina: Its Time You Found Yours
The South Carolina coastal community is a storehouse to a wealth of historical memories and areas to fit any personality.
Heaven for certain people is the Brays Island community, which is in the vicinity of Beaufort. Out of the five and a half thousand acres, 3,500 acres is a nature and hunting preserve and there are 325 residences on the remaining two thousand acres. It is unequalled for hunting deer, dove, quail, duck, pheasant and turkey accompanied by skeet and clay shooting along with trained dogs. With 100 acres of paddocks, 60 miles of trails, fresh and saltwater ponds for fishing, crabbing, and shrimping. A boat storage, ramp and dock for access to the Intracoastal Waterway, 18-hole golf course, pools, 2 Har-Tru tennis courts, a gym, a hotel for guests, a clubhouse and a restaurant. Houses cost upward of about $ 750,000, and the annual charges are about $22K.
Also in the vicinity of Beaufort, visit Bull Point. This reasonably priced community is designed around nature and conservation, with preparations for only 285 homes on the 700 acres it occupies. There is a naturalist on staff and nature trails, a bird sanctuary and 15 acre Lake Bellanger, a beach, three docks for kayaking or canoeing, a 25 meter pool, and Jacuzzi and fitness center, library, boardwalk, a private Magnolia Island and a seven thousand three hundred square foot waterfront clubhouse for programs.
Up north is Daniel Island: forty four hundred acres situated only eight miles from the Charleston airport. It has approximately 4,000 residents in single family homes, town homes, condos, businesses and a corporate park. The community is well-known its tree lined avenues, small town atmosphere and Family Circus Tennis Center, which seats 10,000 persons, operates tennis lessons, clinics and tournaments. Additional facilities consist of a country club, restaurant, 2 golf courses, gym and pool, various docks for crab, shrimp, and fish fishing and boating. This community is one of the finest locations for seasonal retirement and resettlement with the family.
It appears appropriate that on Pawleys Island and its “arrogantly shabby” way of life, you’d find coastal Heritage Plantation which demonstrates what a cluster of 350 homes on 1,000 acres sharing the same land can accomplish. It is around seven miles to Georgetown, and forty to Myrtle Beach International Airport. Their website seems more like a community scrapbook, rather than a property site. With 8 tennis courts, 18-hole golf course, designed by Larry Young, driving range, fishing, marina, boat ramp, pool, spa, fitness room, two clubhouses, the affordable price of houses and the minimal homeowners fee of seven hundred dollars annually see to it that it is a very reasonably priced community.
Grande Dunes is one of the best places in the Myrtle Beach area. It caters to holidaymakers, and also to long-standing residents. With a Marriott Resort and spa on hand it is suitable for out of town guests. There are ten Har-Tru tennis courts, a pro-shop, pool, fitness center, and two golf courses, one with a caddy program. With real estate on each flank of the Intracoastal Waterway and along the coast there is a 130 slip marina, a marina village and inn, two clubhouses, Golf Members Club, bar, library and a couple of restaurants.
