Do I need 4WD on camping trip to Costa Rica?

I am going to Costa Rica for vacation for the first time. I like going to various parts of the country for sightseeing.

My question is do I need 4WD or I can get to all interesting parts of the country in a regular car?

For example in Maui one doesn’t need 4WD because there are almost no off-road attractions. In Kauai’i there are quite a few places where you can only get by 4WD.

So how about Costa Rica?

Where should we go for vacation? Looking for 500 miles away from Des Moines, IA.?

We are looking for vacation suggestions within a 500 mile radius of Des Moines, IA. Would like to go camping preferably, but any ideas will be welcome. New to the region and not sure what is around us. We’d also actually prefer to go south some, hoping for the warmest weather possible. Dates are first week of June. Thanks!

Any educational vacation ideas for N. Cali/Oregon in April for a family w/ kids and a Senior?

We are looking for something educational (museums/camping/activities for kids). For camping we would need good facilities w/ heat since have a senior. The kids are 8 and 10yrs. They’ve been to Yosemite. Mid April for around 5 days. Not too expensive. Any ideas?

How to stay in running-shape while on vacation?

I’m in the middle of my training season for XC….and I’m going on a two week camping trip with my family starting this weekend. We’ll be hiking a lot pretty much every day, or doing some kind of exercise every day, but my mom won’t let me go on runs in the morning because she thinks it’s too dangerous to be out in the woods by myself. Do you think the hiking will be enough to keep me in shape? If not, what else should I do?

we go to st. louis for every 4th of july. student life with my church is every year but has never been this time of the month. usually later or earlier.

Where would be a good choice vacation for $600?

Im trying to plan a vacation from abilene texas to anywhere i can go maybe the beach or lousiana or camping in oklahoma just anything really need some good ideas but I only have $600 bucks for 2 people and thats for everything gas food and lodging.
